HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.43918 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the impugned Memo No.ITDM & Publicity/10/2014, dated 05.12.2017 issued by the 2nd respondent which reads as follows; "The attention of ADH, Visakhapatnam is invited to the references cited and it is hereby informed that the present body of the 04 Cooperative Societies are extended until to conduct the elections as requested by the Societies."

"In continuation of the memo vide reference 7th cited, the ADH, Visakhapatnam is directed to conduct elections for 04 Cooperative Societies after expiry of the term of Managing Committee of 04 Cooperative Societies as per proceedings vide reference 3rd cited."

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the writ petition can be disposed with a direction to conduct elections to the Vadlapudi Displaced Persons Horticulture Service Co-operative Society Limited, within a specified time limit.

Learned Government Pleader for Co-operation submits that the purport of the impugned Memo is also to conduct elections, since term of the Managing Committee expired in

the month of March, 2017. He also submits that in fact, they have initiated election process.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to initiate and complete the election process within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed. ____________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY, J 27.12.2017 t k.
