HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.44900 OF 2018 ORDER:

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking to declare the Public Auction Notice dated 17.11.2018, issued by the 1st respondent-Sri Karakachettu Polamamba Ammavari Devasthanam, inviting the interested persons to participate in the public auction to get lease hold rights over the 1st respondent-temple, for a period of two years from 1.1.2019 to 31.12.2021, without considering the representation dated 20.11.2018, submitted by the petitioner seeking to extend their lease for further period of two to three years, as illegal and arbitrary. Though various grounds are raised, the learned counsel for petitioner, would submit that a direction may be given to the respondentauthorities, to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 20.11.2018, submitted by the petitioner seeking to extend their lease for further period of two to three years, in respect of the subject temple.

Learned Government Pleader for Endowments and the learned Standing Counsel for the 1st respondent-Devasthanam, would submit that if the representation dated 20.11.2018, submitted by the petitioner, is still pending consideration, the same may be directed to be disposed of in accordance with law.

Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent, to deal with the representation dated 20.11.2018, submitted by the petitioner seeking to extend their lease for further period of two to three years, in respect of the subject temple and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, as early as possible preferably within a period of two to three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all concerned. No order as to costs.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, WP.M.Ps if any pending shall stand closed.
