ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "..to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the impugned action of the respondents in not regularizing the service of the petitioner and in not considering the petitioner for the post of JLM in spite of lengthy service of 6 years as Village electricity Worker as highly illegal, arbitrary and violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioner in the post of JLM and pass such other order or orders in the interest of justice."
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner is working as Junior Lineman, respondents 1 and 2 are not considering his case for appointment on regular basis.
Having regard to the said submission, this Court is of the considered view that if the petitioner is working as on today, his case can be considered in accordance with rules. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for providing employment on regular basis, if he is working as on today, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with rules,
within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
