When the matter is taken up, a preliminary objection as to the maintainability of this Writ Petition is taken by the learned GP by stating that the impugned endorsement/order passed by the Collector and District Magistrate, Y.S.R. district is appealable before the State Government under the provisions of Arms Act and the rules framed there under. The same is not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the availability of alternative remedy, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition. However, it is open for the petitioner to avail the said alternative remedy of appeal in accordance with law.

The Writ Petition is accordingly, disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
