HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 41316 of 2017 Order:

The respondent University issued notification on 12.05.2017 inviting applications from the qualified candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor/Teaching Assistant on contract basis in various faculties. Since the petitioner was qualified, he applied for the post of Assistant Professor in Commerce. The selection committee interviewed the petitioner and selected him. Before issuing orders of appointment, some unselected candidates filed W.P.No.21260 of 2017 challenging the notification and this Court, by order dated 29.06.2017, granted stay of notification and, by another order dated 26.07.2017, suspended the orders of appointment issued to the selected candidates on the ground that selections of the regular posts have to be taken up. Some of the selected candidates took the matter in appeal in W.A.No.

1209 of 2017 and the Division Bench of this Court, by order dated 30.10.2017 passed in W.A.M.P.No.2249 of 2017 in W.A.No.1209 of 2017, granted stay of interim orders passed in W.P.No.21260 of 2017 dated 26.07.2017. Thereafter, the orders of appointment were issued on 01.11.2017 and the petitioner joined duty on the same day. When the petitioner was not paid salary for the month of November 2017, he filed the present Writ Petition. This Writ Petition was adjourned for getting instructions and, today when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel appearing for the respondent University submitted that the respondent University is going to pay the salary to the petitioner regularly so long as he continues in the post pursuant to the appointment order dated 01.11.2017.

Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
