HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 39698 of 2017 Order:

The petitioner was working as General Mazdoor (Surface). A charge sheet was issued alleging that 449 KGs of Copper Rivets and 2000 numbers of Lock washers were stolen by the petitioner at his working place. The petitioner submitted an explanation. After considering the explanation, an enquiry was conducted and on the basis of the enquiry the punishment of stoppage of two increments with cumulative effect was imposed on 06.05.2017. Against the said order, the petitioner states that he preferred an appeal to the second respondent on 29.05.2017 and when the same was not disposed of, he filed the present Writ Petition. Since the appeal is pending before the second respondent, which has not yet been disposed of, this Court feels that this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the appellate authority, the second respondent to dispose of the appeal, preferred by the petitioner on 29.05.2017 against the order dated 06.05.2017, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
