ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "......to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to declare the action of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in not issuing the claim forms for payment of the additional monetary benefits and other medical retirement benefit in spite of the representation dt 23.9.2018 and 04.12.2018 as being illegal, arbitrary and unjust and consequently direct respondent Nos.2 and 3 to issue the claim forms for payment of additional monetary benefits and other medical retirement benefits on medical grounds and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice."

Heard Sri G.Rajesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Sri A.Ravi Babu, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation.

It is the case of the petitioner that initially, he was appointed as Conductor and he is discharging his duties as such. While so, since the petitioner has suffered from paralysis and he was unable to discharge his duties, he requested the respondents to provide him alternative employment, but the same was not considered. Thereafter, he

was made to retire on medical invalidation grounds on 31.7.2018. Subsequently, he submitted representations dated 23.9.2018 and 4.12.2018 to the respondent-Corporation for issuance of claim forms for payment of additional monetary benefits and other medical retirement benefits. But, so far, no orders have been passed thereon.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondent-Corporation be directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation contended that the respondents would consider the representations submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondent-Corporation to consider the representations dated 23.9.2018 and 4.12.2018 and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of . No costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
