ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: ".....to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in disconnecting the power supply to the Agricultural service connection Nos.5351500203 & 5351500204, Kothapally, Damarcharla Mandal, Nalgonda District, belongs to the petitioner is illegal, arbitrary unjust and contrary to the provisions of Electricity Act, 2003, and consequently direct the respondents to restore the power supply to petitioner's agricultural service connection Nos.5351500203 & 5351500204, Kothapally, Damarcharla Mandal Nalgonda District and pass such other order or orders as it may deem fit under the circumstances of the case."

Heard Smt.Jyothieswar Gogineni, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri R.Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. It is the case of the petitioner that he owns agricultural land in Kothapally. He was given service connections bearing Nos.5351500203 and 531500204 and he has been carrying agricultural activities. While so, the respondents have disconnected the power supply to the aforesaid service connections of the petitioner on the ground that they are re-structuring the lines.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contended that that though the respondents have re-structured the electrical lines, they are not restoring the power supply to the

service connections of the petitioner and therefore, he submitted a representation dated 11.11.2019 to the respondents, but so far no orders have been passed thereon. It is prayed that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to restore power supply to the service connections of the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents contended that the case of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on the representation dated 11.11.2019 submitted by the petitioner. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 11.11.2019 submitted by the petitioner seeking restoration of power supply to the service connections, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
