ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 2 and 3 in not considering the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Office Superintendent in the existing vacancy at the O/o Regional Joint Director, WD &CW, Warangal though he is fully qualified and eligible for promotion as Office Superintendent, as illegal, arbitrary, unjust, contrary to law and contrary to Art.14 of Constitution of India and consequently direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Office Superintendent in the existing vacancy at the O/o Regional Joint Director, WD&CW, Warangal duly considering the representations of the petitioner dated 10-09-2018 and 3-9-2018 and pass such other order or orders may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri D.Rama Krishna, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Women and Child Welfare appearing for the respondents. It is the case of the petitioner that initially, he was appointed as Junior Assistant on 16.05.1987 and was further promoted as Senior Assistant on 03.10.1994. Though he is eligible and qualified to be appointed as Office Superintendent, the respondents are not considering his case. Hence, he submitted representations to the respondents on

11.09.2018 and 3.9.2018 requesting them to consider his case for promotion to the post of Office Superintendent. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Office Superintendent.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that his case will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with Rules. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the considered view that ends of justice would be met if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 11.9.2018 & 3.9.2018 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
