THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.2558 of 2017 ORDER :

Heard both sides.

2.

Learned counsel for petitioner stated that after filing of the Contempt Case, the order whose contempt is alleged has since been complied with.

3.

Learned counsel for petitioner also placed reliance on the Full Bench judgment of this Court dt.12-02-2019 in Taken Up W.P. (PIL) No.5 of 2019 and batch, wherein the Full Bench of this Court while considering the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014, has held that unless the Chief Justice of the High Court transfers Contempt Cases to the newly constituted High Court at Amaravathi for the State of Andhra Pradesh, this Court would retain jurisdiction and can pass orders.

4.

In view of the said decision, since nothing survives in the Contempt Case, this Contempt Case is closed. No costs. 5.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
