As per the averments made in the writ affidavit, the sister of the 1st petitioner was the dealer of the subject fair price shop. She died on 12.12.1997. Aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioners for appointment as dealer of subject fair price shop, on compassionate grounds in terms of G.O.Ms.No.4, Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies (CS-1) Department dated 28.02.2014, the present writ petition is filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. The learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies submits that the guidelines framed under G.O.Ms.No.4 dated 28.02.2014 for appointment of fair price shop dealers on compassionate grounds, are applicable in cases from 2009 on wards and not prior thereto, and in the present case, the death of the original dealer has taken place on 12.12.1997 and hence the said G.O. cannot be made applicable to the case of the petitioners. The same could not be disputed by learned counsel for petitioners.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, no relief can be granted to the petitioners and the writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed. No costs. ------------------------------------ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY,J DATE:19-12-2017 avs
