THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 46095 OF 2018 O R D E R :

The grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent - Station House Officer, Women Police Station, Kurnool has not been taking any action on his complaint registered as Crime No. 12 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, on 23.02.2018.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home (Andhra Pradesh). In view of the limited grievance of the petitioner and since the First Information Report has already been registered based on the complaint of the petitioner, the 3rd respondent Station House Officer is directed to conduct investigation thereinto and file a final report / charge sheet, in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this order, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall stand closed.
