Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondents 1 to 5. 2.

This Writ Petition is filed alleging that the police authorities, arrayed as respondents 2 to 5, are coercing the petitioner to enter into settlement with the 6th respondent and threatening her with dire consequences. According to petitioner, there is a rival claim with regard to land to an extent of Acs.5.00 in Survey No.375 of Ponnekal Village, Khammam Rural Mandal, Khammam District. The 6th respondent instituted O.S.No.238 of 2008 on the file of the Court of Senior Civil Judge, Khammam. She was unsuccessful in securing the injunction order against the petitioner. 3.

Sri Chiranjeevi, Station House Officer, Khammam Rural Police Station, furnished written instructions dated 20.12.2017 to learned Government Pleader for Home stating that the petitioner is not required in any case; no case is registered against her till date and he has not summoned her and asked her to settle the matter with the 6th respondent. The instructions are taken on record.

Having regard to the categorical statement of the Station House Officer, the apprehension of the petitioner is misplaced and no direction as sought for by her is required to be granted.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
