CVNR,J & MSKJ, J Order : (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed by a party to the sale agreement, for issue of mandamus to declare inaction of Income Tax authorities on the complaint dated 17.11.2016, made by the petitioner against respondents No.6 to 10, as illegal and arbitrary. 2.

Mr.J.V.Prasad, learned Senior Standing Counsel for Income Tax Department, on written instructions, submitted that in his letter dated 08.12.2017, the Commissioner of Income Tax (Judicial), submitted that the department follows 'standard operative procedure' (SOP) in dealing with tax evasion petitions (TEP) and that the petitioner has addressed a compliant to Pr.DIT (Investigation) as well as DGIT (Inv.) and enquiry into the matter has been initiated by various offices.

With the initiation of enquiry on the TEP of the petitioner, his grievance sought to be ventilated in this writ petition, stands redressed. The Department is directed to bring the enquiry on the TEP, to its logical end.

Subject to the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. 5.
