ORAL ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned standing counsel for respondents 1 to 4 and standing counsel for respondent no.5. 2.
Petitioners claim to be owners of individual flats in 'Sri Nilayam' apartment in Plot No. 906 admeasuring 500 sq yards in Survey Nos. 11/11 and 11/13, Sri Swamy Ayyappa Cooperative Housing Society Limited, Khanamet village, Serilingampally mandal, Ranga Reddy district. Petitioners claim that earlier power supply connections were granted to the said apartment flats in the name of the builder and since they have purchased individual flats, they requested the respondent company to transfer the respective power supply connections in their names. Petitioners allege that representation was made on 22.8.2018 requesting for change of name but so far no decision is made. 3.
It is not disputed by learned counsel for petitioners that procedure is prescribed by the respondent company for transfer of power supply connection standing in the name of one person to another person and such procedure is not followed by petitioners. Merely on making a representation, petitioners cannot allege inaction, without following due procedure contemplated. Thus, no direction as sought for can be granted, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. However, this order does not come in the way of petitioners making appropriate applications to respondent company requesting for transfer of electricity supply connections in their respective names.
