This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, with the following prayer:
"To issue an appropriate writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 2nd and 3rd respondents in not act in accordance with law against the 4th respondent and his henchmen and to provide police aid to the petitioner to conduct Christmas celebrations to be held at St Mathews north Parish Lutheran Church with peaceful atmosphere is illegal arbitrary and in violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to provide police aid to the petitioner to conduct Christmas celebrations to be held from 21.12.2018 to 31.1.2019 at St Mathews north Parish Lutheran Church with peaceful atmosphere".
Today, when the matter is taken up, written instructions dated 23.12.2018 furnished by the Inspector of Police, Arundelpet Police Station, Guntur Urban district are placed on record by the learned Government Pleader for Home. In the said written instructions, it is stated that it is utter false to state that the petitioner submitted a report and the respondents 2 and 3 did not take any action and it is very common to provide Police Bundobust on the occasion of every Christian Festival in view of crowd by Arundelpet P.S. since the inception of the Church and there is no need to file any writ petition for Police aid.
Recording the said instructions dated 23.12.2018, the writ petition is disposed of, leaving it open to the petitioner to make an appropriate application for redressal of his grievance and for consideration of the same by the respondents, as per law.
