This Criminal Petition, under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ accused, for grant of anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest in connection with Crime No.803 of 2017 on the file of Sanjeevareddy Nagar Police Station, Hyderabad City, registered for the offence punishable under Section 3 (1) (s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (for short, 'the Act'). 2 .

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ accused, learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-State and perused the record.

In the First Information Report lodged before the police on 14.11.2017, there is specific mention of abuses constituting the offence punishable under Section 3 (1) (s) of the Act. Under these circumstances, it is not a fit case to allow the application. 4 .

Hence, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
