THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.11776 of 2017 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to quash the proceedings in Crime No.64 of 2017 of Tekumatla Police Station, Jayashankar Bhupalpally District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 3(1)(r)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, against the petitioner/accused, on various grounds.

Learned counsel for petitioner, after arguing the matter for sometime, requested this Court to direct the police concerned to follow the procedure under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. 3.

Acceding to the request of the counsel for petitioner, without touching the merits of the matter, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the police concerned to follow the procedure under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. and the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar1.

Consequently, pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
