The present writ petition is filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, to declare the action of the 2nd respondent in not considering the application of the petitioner dated 15.12.2018, requesting to receive reasonable penalty amount (already paid Rs.1,00,000/-) in connection with the petitioner's vehicle bearing No.AP-31-TF-2988, by closing the same, as arbitrary and illegal. 2.

Though various grounds are raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer, seeking a direction to the authorities to consider his representation dated 15.12.2018 and dispose of the same.

Government Pleader on instructions states that if the application is already made and it is still pending, it may be directed to be disposed of.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2018, made relating to imposition of penalty or otherwise, in accordance with rules, as early as possible, preferably within six to eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
