The case of the petitioner is that she made an application to respondent No.2 on 03.05.2018 seeking to issue Money Lenders Licence/Pawn Brokers Licence (MLL/PBL) as per the Money Lending Act, 1394 and the Rules made thereunder; and she has paid the prescribed fee and also attached documents like Bank statements, property documents, rental deed, Income Tax Returns etc. While so, respondent No.2 addressed a letter dated 25.05.2018 to respondents 3 and 4 with certain remarks on the petitioner's application and directed to enquire and furnish report, however, licence was not granted to the petitioner till date. 2.
Heard Sri Damodar Mundra, learned counsel for the petitioner, and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue, State of Telangana. 3.
Having regard to the submissions made and in the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner, dated 03.05.2018, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
