THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.11581 OF 2017 ORDER:

This petition, under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code (for short "Cr.P.C.")., is filed by the petitioners/A.1 to A.3 quash the proceedings in Crime No.40 of 2017 of Women Police Station, Tirupathi, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 Dowry Prohibition Act. 2.

After arguing the matter for a while, learned counsel for the petitioners /A.1 to A.3, requested the Court to issue a direction to the Station House Officer concerned to follow the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in "Rajesh Sharma v. State of U.P.1 before taking any coercive steps against the petitioners. 3.

Acceding to the request of learned counsel for the petitioners, without touching the merits of the case, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the Station House Officer concerned to follow the guidelines issued in Rajesh Sharma's case, before taking any coercive steps against petitioners With the above direction, the criminal petition is disposed of. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand closed.
