This Criminal Petition, under Sections 437 & 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner-accused for grant of bail in connection with Crime No.227 of 2017 on the file of the Station House Officer, Mulug, Jayashankar Bhupalpally District, registered for the offence under Sections 498-A & 306 I.P.C. 2 .

Heard the learned counsel for petitioner-accused, learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-State and perused the record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent person and he was falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is in judicial custody from more than 50 days and the investigation is completed and ultimately, prayed the Court to allow the application.

On the other hand, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner.

The specific allegation against the petitioner-accused is that he developed illegal intimacy with one woman and thereafter he started harassing his wife Sujatha mentally and physically. Having vexed with the petitioner's attitude, his wife consumed pesticide poison on 24.08.2017 and thereafter she died on 01.09.2017. There was specific and grave allegation of dowry harassment and abetment to commit suicide against the petitioner-accused and the investigation is

not yet completed. In the circumstances, there are no merits in the application to allow.

In the result, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
