2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the 1st respondent that the auction failed. Therefore, the immediate cause does not survive. Hence, leaving it open to the petitioners to work out their remedies as and when new fresh steps are taken, the writ petition is closed. There will be no order as to costs.

5. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
