HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.KESHAVA RAO Writ Petition Nos.47676 and 47702 of 2018 Common Order: (per V.Ramasubramanian, J.) The grievance of the petitioner in these two writ petitions is that during the pendency of appeals against orders of assessment and orders of penalty, the respondents have issued garnishee notices.

2. Mr. S.Suri Babu, learned Special Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents.

3. The appeals against the orders of assessment and orders of penalty have been filed in time. The petitions for stay are also pending.

4. Therefore, the writ petitions are disposed of directing the Appellate Authority to pass orders on the stay petitions within a period of eight weeks. Till stay petitions are disposed of, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner. Pending applications, if any, shall stand closed.
