THE HON'BLE DR.JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION No.14000 OF 2018 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition, under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/A.18, for grant of bail in Crime No.20 of 2007 of Komaram Police Station, Khammam District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 302 read with 149 of IPC and Section 25(1)(a) and 27 of Indian Arms Act.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/A.18, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondentState and perused the record. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner/A.18 would submit that the petitioner is falsely implicated in this case. He is not aware of the pendency of the criminal proceedings against him. Having come to know the same, he filed the present petition and ultimately, prayed to allow the petition.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner/A.18 and ultimately, prayed to dismiss the petition.

As per the material placed on record, the offence alleged to have been committed by the petitioner and other accused was in the year 2007. It is submitted that the petitioner is a member of extremist group. The petitioner approached this Court about 11 years after the commission of the alleged offence. There are specific and grave allegations of his involvement in the subject crime. Therefore, it is not appropriate to consider the petition.

Hence, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner/A.18 is directed to surrender before the police concerned and seek regular bail before the competent Court. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
