THE HON'BLE DR. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION No.12012 OF 2017 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners/A.2 and A.4, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State and perused the record.

This petition is filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail to the petitioners/A.2 and A.4 in Crime No.25 of 2016 of Maredumilli Police Station, East Godavari District, for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of NDPS Act.

It is brought to the notice of this Court in the course of submissions by both sides that most part of the trial is completed. P.Ws.1 to 9 were examined. The case in the trial Court is coming up for the evidence of investigating officer, who is said to have been dealing with the criminal case relating to ganja transportation. Under these circumstances, the trial Court is directed to procure the presence of investigating officer, examine some other witnesses as per the procedure established under law and complete the trial of the case and pronounce judgment within two months from the date of this order.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that the mother of the petitioner/A.2 is suffering from heart problem. Learned counsel for the petitioner intends to move an application for interim bail.
