In all these writ petitions, the petitioners challenge cancellation of their licences to carry on the seeds business, as such, they are being disposed of through common order.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in similar circumstances, this Court disposed of batch of writ petitions in WP.No.14356 of and Batch, dated 11-10-2017. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of Advocate General does not dispute the same. In view of the same, for the reasons alike, these writ petitions are also allowed by setting aside the impugned orders of cancellation of licences. However, the authorities under the Seeds Act and the Seeds Control Order shall take appropriate steps for educating the farmers with regard to the future losses in case of spurious seeds. They shall also inspect the shops of the dealers periodically in order to prevent utilization of such spurious seeds by the farmers, resulting in huge loss to them. However, this order will not prevent the farmers from claiming compensation against the manufacturers and distributors, if any, in separate proceedings.

As a sequel to the disposal of these petitions, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. _________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY,J 08-12-2017 Nvl
