Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that she is the owner of plot No.17 admeasuring 200 square yards in Survey No.613 (subsequently subdivided as 613-D to an extent of Ac.2.52 cents) situated at Murakambattu Village, Chittoor District. When she presented the document in respect of above land, before the Sub-Registrar for registration, he refused to receive the same. Hence, the Writ Petition. 3.

It is needless to observe that when a properly drafted document is presented for registration complying with all formalities, the fifth respondent has no alternative except to receive the said document and he cannot refuse to receive the document.

In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the fifth respondent to receive the document, if any, presented by the petitioner and take action in accordance with the provisions of the Registration Act. If the fifth respondent cannot register the said document for any reason, he has to make an endorsement to that effect and pass an order in accordance with Section 71 of the Registration Act.
