THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.40116 of 2017 ORDER:

The petitioner states that he is a Bachelor Degree holder in Technology and belongs to BC-B community. He is a local candidate of Zone-V as per the Presidential Order. While so, the second respondent issued a notification notifying 510 vacancies of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspector of Police (Civil) (Men & Women) in Police Department and other posts and inviting applications from eligible candidates. The petitioner states that he participated in the selection process with Registration No.1087287 and secured total marks of 320.50. After participating in the selection process, when he was not selected, he filed the present Writ Petition challenging the action of the second respondent in not allotting 2% quota for sports persons in the said recruitment notification dated 06.02.2016.

Now it is well settled that when a person participated in the selection process knowing fully well the conditions of selection, he cannot challenge the selection process or the recruitment notification after knowing that he was not selected. Learned Government Pleader submits that the selection process was completed and the candidates are undergoing training.

In the circumstances, this Court sees no ground to entertain the present Writ Petition, and the same is,

accordingly, dismissed. The miscellaneous petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
