The prayer of the petitioner in this case reads as under: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the 4th respondent in not taking action upon the directions/letter No.E3/6451/2017, dt.16.10.2017 issued by the 2nd respondent as illegal, arbitrary, contrary to the Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbook Act, 1971, and consequently direct the 4th respondent to enquiry into the matter as per the direction of the 2nd respondent vide letter No.E3/6451/2017, dt.16.10.2017 and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.'

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, State of Telangana, would inform this Court that though the District Collector, Nalgonda District, instructed the Tahsildar, Pedda Adisherlapally Revenue Mandal, Nalgonda District, to issue a pattadar pass book and a title deed on the strength of the registered Sale Deed bearing No.3929 dated 13.05.2015, the petitioner has not chosen to apply for issuance of a pattadar pass book and a title deed under the provisions of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 (for short, 'the Act of 1971'), as per the due procedure prescribed therein. Sri T.Rajinikanth Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, does not dispute this aspect.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to make an application for grant of a pattadar pass book and a title deed in strict accordance with the procedure laid down in the Act of 1971. Upon receipt of such an application, the

Tahsildar, Pedda Adisherlapally Revenue Mandal, Nalgonda District, shall take action as per law expeditiously.
