Petition filed under Sections 437 & 439 of Cr.P.C. praying that in the circumstances stated in the Grounds of Criminal Petition, the High Court may be pleased to enlarge the petitioner on bail in Crime No. 69 of 2017 on the file of Excise Police Station at Utnoor in Adilabad District, in the interest of justice. The petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the memorandum of grounds filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Sri B. Vijaysen Reddy, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Public Prosecutor(TS) on behalf of RespondentState, the Court made the following ORDER :- "Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/accused, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State and perused the record. This petition is filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of bail to the petitioner/accused in Crime No.69 of 2017 of Excise Police Station, Utnoor, Adilabad District, for the offence punishable under Section 8(b) read with Section 20(a) of the NDPS Act, 1985.

It is alleged that the petitioner had grown 22 ganja plants in his agricultural cotton field. Having regard to the nature of allegations, the petitioner/accused can be granted bail.

In the result, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the petitioner/accused is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the I Additional Sessions Judge, Adilabad District. On such release, the petitioner/accused shall attend before the Station House Officer concerned on every Sunday between 09.00 and 10.00 a.m. till filing charge sheet."
