The compensation amount which was initially withheld by the Corporation is now handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioners by way of a cheque today across the Bar.

Inasmuch as the compensation is paid to the petitioners for the subject property acquired by the Corporation, however, in view of the fact that the petitioners are residing in the said property, and considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners to grant certain time for the petitioners to vacate the property, time till 05.04.2019 is granted to the petitioners to vacate the property. Subject to the above, the writ petition is closed. No costs.
