Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Home for respondents 1 to 3. 2.
According to petitioners, 2nd petitioner's marriage was performed with 5th respondent on 22.04.2016. The 1st petitioner is mother of 2nd petitioner and both are government employees. It appears, family disputes arose between petitioners and 5th respondent and 5th respondent left the house of petitioners. Later she lodged complaint against the petitioners and their family members on 31.05.2017 which was registered as Crime No.103 of 2017 for the offence under Section 498-A of Indian Penal Code r/w.Section 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act in ITown Police Station, Bellampally. Petitioners now allege that on 23.09.2018, the 2nd respondent called the petitioners to police station at about 10.00 a.m, alleging that the 5th respondent made a complaint regarding dowry harassment against them, thereby abused them in filthy language and also threatened them that if they do not sign on Rs.100/- stamp paper admitting that they are ready to settle the dispute with the 5th respondent, dire consequences would follow.
In those compelling circumstances they signed on the stamp paper. It is now alleged that the 3rd respondent is calling the petitioners to police station or sending constables to the office of petitioners and demanding the amounts as mentioned in the alleged agreement and directing the petitioners to settle the dispute with 5th respondent. This writ petition is filed praying to declare that by
- 3 - forcibly obtaining signatures on Rs.100/- stamp paper for a sum of Rs.8 Lakhs, on 24.09.2018, calling the petitioners to police station and threatening to pay the said amount to 5th respondent, otherwise to implicate the petitioners in false case, thereby interfering in family disputes between the petitioners and 5th respondent, as arbitrary, illegal and amounts to misuse of power and authority.

The written instructions furnished by the Station House Officer, Asifabad Police Station, Komuram Bheem Asifabad District, dated 31.12.2018, would state that the allegation that the 3rd respondent is calling the petitioners to police station and sending constables to the offices of petitioners and demanding the amounts mentioned in the alleged agreement is denied. It is specifically asserted that 3rd respondent is not misusing the power and not harassing the petitioners to settle their family disputes.

Learned Government Pleader fairly submits that no crime is registered against the petitioners in Asifabad Police Station, whereas, crime was registered in Bellampalli Police Station. 5.
Having regard to the categorical statement of Station House Officer, Asifabad Police Station, it cannot be said that the respondent-Police authorities are interfering as sought to be alleged. If petitioners have any grievance on the manner in which the alleged bond was extracted from them, it is open to them to work out their remedies, as available in law.
