CRIMINAL PETITION NO. 12624 OF 2017 O R D E R :

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A-1 & A-2 under section 437 and 439 of Cr.P.C., seeking to enlarge them on bail in Crime No. 283 of 2017 of Old Guntur Police Station, Guntur district, registered for the offences punishable under section 420 of IPC and Section 3 and 4 of A.P. Gaming Act.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners/A-1 and A-2 and the learned Public Prosecutor for the respondent/State.

3. The counsel for the petitioners submit that the Police did not file charge sheet in spite of the mandatory period of sixty days being completed.

4. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that there is no mandatory period under the Money Laundering Act. In such circumstances Criminal Procedure Code would be applicable.

5. Hence, in such circumstances, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the court below and seek bail on the said ground.

6. With that liberty granted to the petitioners/A-1 and A-2, this Criminal Petition is dismissed.

7. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
