HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT & HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.K. JAISWAL W.P. No. 44053 of 2017 O R D E R:- (ORAL) (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Suresh Kumar Kait) This writ petition is filed in the nature of writ of habeas corpus seeking direction to the official respondents to produce Battula Priyanka, before this Court from illegal detention of the 5th respondent and set her free.

In pursuance of the order dated 26.12.2017 passed by this Court, the above named Priyanka is personally present in the Court and admitted that her engagement with the petitioner took place, however due to some reasons, she does not want to marry him and she is staying with her parents at her wish.

Priyanka is above 22 years of age and she is major, and this Court cannot dictate terms with whom she should stay. Undoubtedly, she is staying with her parents and her marriage with the petitioner has not taken place and she has every right to decide her future regarding the marriage. In view of the facts records above, no further orders are required to be passed in the writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs.
