Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents in appointing the petitioner as fair price shop dealer for shop No.32 of Adaviravulapadu village, Nandigama Mandal, Krishna District on compassionate grounds as per G.O.Ms.No.4 Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies (CS-I) Department dated 28-02-2014, the present writ petition has been filed. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. The learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies, on instructions, would submit pursuant to the death of the father of the petitioner, petitioner was interviewed on 8.12.2017 and hence it cannot be said that there is any delay on the part of the respondents and that necessary action will be taken.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances and the submissions of the learned counsel, this court is of the view that the writ petition is misconceived and the same is accordingly dismissed. However, this court expects that the respondents would take appropriate action in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. Miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
