This petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is the accused in Crime No.448 of 2017 on the file of the Station House officer, Nacharam Police Station, Rachakkonda District.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

As per the averments of the complaint, on 11.11.2017, when the complainant was on duty as a traffic police, at about 09: 30 AM, there was a municipal tanker going on the road for watering the plants. While he was crossing the road with hand signal, to request the driver of the water tanker for watering the plants later, as there was heavy traffic, a TVS Scooty came with a woman as a pillion rider and on applying sudden break they fell down and the lady sustained a head injury. Then the said person got up and caught the collar of the complainant, who was on duty.

Hence, from the averments of the complaint, this court opines that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. 5.

The Criminal petition is, accordingly, dismissed. However, the Police are directed to follow the guidelines enunciated by the Supreme Court in Ar n esh Ku m ar v. St at e of Bih ar an d

an ot h er ( Cr l.Appeal No.1 2 7 7 of 2 0 1 4 ) 1, before effecting the arrest of petitioner.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
