THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.24570 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings against the petitioners/accused Nos.2 to 4 in Crime No.319 of 2017 of Sanathnagar Police Station, Cyberabad, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 498-A and 354 I.P.C., and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

After arguing the matter for a while, learned counsel for the petitioners requested the Court to issue a direction to the Station House Officer concerned to follow the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in "Rajesh Sharma v. State of U.P.1 before taking any coercive steps against the petitioners.

Acceding to the request of learned counsel for the petitioners, without touching the merits of the case, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the Station House Officer concerned to follow the guidelines issued in Rajesh Sharma's case, before taking any coercive steps against petitioners. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
