THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.24565 of 2017 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is filed by the petitioners/A.1 to A.5 to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.282 of 2017 on the file of the Court of Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Adoni, Kurnool District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A read with 34 I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

After arguing the matter for a while, learned counsel for the petitioners requested the Court to issue a direction to the Court below to follow the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma v. State of U.P.1, before taking any coercive steps against the petitioners.

Having regard to the above, without going into the merits of the case, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the Court below to follow the guidelines issued by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma's case before taking any coercive steps against the petitioners.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
