THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.24616 of 2017 ORDER:

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code (for short "Cr.P.C.") to quash the proceedings in FIR No.270 of 2017 on the file of Women P.S., Guntur Urban, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 506 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of D.P.Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner after arguing the matter for sometime, requested this Court to direct the concerned to follow the procedure laid down by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma v. State of U.P1.

Acceding to the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, without touching the merits, the Police of Women Police Station, Guntur Urban, are directed to follow the procedure laid by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma v. State of UP (referred supra). With the above direction, this Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Consequently, miscellaneous applications pending if any, shall stand closed.
