THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY I.A. Nos.3 and 4 of 2017 IN/ AND Crl.P. No.24639 of 2017 COMMON ORDER:

I.A. Nos.3 and 4 of 2017: These petitions are filed under Section 320 of Criminal Procedure Code (for short " Cr.P.C." ) seeking to record compromise and quash the proceedings in Crime No.262 of 2017 of Gachibowli Police Station, Hyderabad registered for the offence punishable under Sections 417 and 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

The parties except S.Anand Reddy--accused No.1, are present in person. They are identified by their respective counsel and produced photostat copies of Aadhar cards in proof of their identity. S.Anand Reddy-accused No.1 is staying at USA and filed the General Power of Attorney executed by him authorizing S.Veera Reddy, to represent and appear on his behalf before the Court in the above case and it is validated by the Collector under Section 18 of the Indian Stamp Act, since A1, is not in a position to appear before the Court.

On enquiry, the petitioners and the respondent No.1 stated that the matter is settled out of Court at the intervention of elders and well wishers and the accused No.1 and respondent No.2 (husband and wife) decided to close the same by taking divorce by mutual consent.

Learned Public Prosecutor for the State of A.P submitted that the matter is at the stage of C.C. No.741 of 2017 pending on the file of XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Kukatpally.

Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, permission is accorded as sought for and the proceedings in C.C. No.741 of 2017 on the file of XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Kukatpally, are hereby quashed.

Crl.P. No.24639 of 2017:

In view of the orders passed in I.A. Nos.3 and 4 of 2017, this criminal petition is allowed.

The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand closed.
