THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.24663 OF 2017 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code (for short "Cr.P.C.") to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.377 of 2014 on the file of V Additional Sessions Judge, Karimnagar, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 304-B IPC & Sections 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The second respondent lodged written report with the police. On the strength of the complaint, crime was registered and the police issued F.I.R. At the crime stage, both the parties entered into compromise, settled the claims against one another and decided not to proceed against one another, thereby, resolved the dispute amicably. Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioners requested this Court to compound the offences.

However, at the end, learned counsel for the petitioners requested this Court to direct the Sessions Court to dispose of the matter within six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. In view of the specific request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the V Additional Sessions Judge, Karimnagar is directed to dispose of S.C.No.377 of 2014, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order, without giving undue preference to S.C.No.377 of 2014 alone.

MSM,J Crl.P_24663_2017 With the above direction, the criminal petition is disposed of, without touching the merits of the case.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand closed. No costs.
