ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "...to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the inaction of the 2nd respondent in considering the petitioner application dated 13.11.2017 for mutation of property in municipal records as per A.P. Municipalities Act, 1965 and "Alteration of Ownership of Property In Assessment Book Rules, 1966" as arbitrary, illegal, and violation of Article 300-A of the Constitution of India,.

consequently, direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.11.2017 for mutation of property in the Municipal records as per A.P. Municipalities Act, 1965 and "Alteration of Ownership of Property in Assessment Book Rules, 1966" and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development appearing for the 1st respondent and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.

It is the case of the petitioner that he purchased the property viz., H.No.7-1-50 admeasuring 173.33 square yards or 144.92 square meters situated at Ward No.7, Block No.1, Municipal Quarters, Dwarak Nagar, Adilabad, under a registered sale deed on 6.11.2017. Thereafter, he made a representation dated 13.11.2017

before the 2nd respondent for mutating his name in the revenue records in terms of the A.P. Municipalities Act, 1965, but no action has been taken been so far.

Sri N.Praveen Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that necessary action would be taken on the representation submitted by the petitioner. In those circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to act upon the representation dated 13.11.2017 made by the petitioner for mutation of his name in the revenue records, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
