THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION No.24666 of 2017 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners-A.1 to A.7 and A.10 to A.12 seeking to quash the order dated 16.11.2017 in C.C. No.2 of 2011 on the file of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge-cum-I Additional District Judge, Visakhapatnam, in respect of framing of Charge No.3 against them under Sections 3 and 5 of the A.P. Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishment Act, 1999.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners-A.1 to A.7 and A.10 to A.12 and the learned counsel for the 1st respondent-State, apart from perusing the material on record.

Having argued for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners-accused seeks permission of this Court to convert the Criminal Petition into Criminal Revision Case. If the petitioners choose to do so, they can withdraw this petition and file a Criminal Revision Case in accordance with law.

Having granted such liberty, this Criminal Petition is disposed of. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. 5.

The Registry is directed to return the certified copies filed in this case to the counsel on record.
