Krishnaiah, learned counsel for petitioners, states with a very heavy heart that his clients fearing reprisal from the department wanted to withdraw the writ petition.

Permission is accorded.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to take a challenge only insofar as the grievance relating to seniority list is concerned.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the petition stand closed.
