THE HONOURABLE DR. JUSTICE D.NAGARJUN CRIMINAL PETITION No.24807 of 2017 O R D E R:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner/accused seeking quashment of C.C.No.253 of 2017 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Thungathurthy, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

No representation on behalf of the petitioners as well as respondent No.2.

Sri T.V.Ramana Rao, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent No.1/State has submitted that the case against the petitioner/accused has already been quashed vide Order dated 20.01.2021 in I.A.Nos.2 and 3 of 2020 in/and Criminal Petition No.715 OF 2020 as both the parties have compromised the matter before this Court and to that extent copy of the proceedings sheet downloaded from e-Courts is filed.

In view of the facts and circumstances and since the case against the petitioner/accused has already been

quashed by this Court, no cause of action survives to proceed with the case and thereby the Criminal Petition has become infructuous and liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.

As a sequel, pending Miscellaneous Applications, if any, shall stand closed.
