This Criminal Petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is accused No.2, in Crime No.145 of 2017 on the file of Nadendla Police Station, Guntur District. The offence alleged is under Section 386 of I.P.C.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State, and perused the record. 3.

The report given by the de-facto complainant shows that this petitioner has tried to extort money from the de-facto complainant, to an extent of Rs.5,00,000/-, representing himself to be a member of Maoist group. Hence, the nature of allegations does not deserve grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. However, the petitioner can surrender before the Court and obtain regular bail.

Accordingly, with the above observation, this Criminal Petition is dismissed.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand dismissed.
