This application is preferred through prison. The prayer in the application is to direct expeditious conclusion of the trial in Sessions Case No.26 of 2021, arising out of C.R.No.556 of 2019, on the file of Sessions Court at Thane. 2.

A copy of the order passed by the Supreme Court on 10 February 2021 is annexed to the application. By the said order, the Supreme Court has directed that the trial be may be expedited.

Learned APP, on instructions, submits that the trial has commenced and six witnesses have been examined. The prosecution proposes to examine 10 more witnesses.

As the Supreme Court has already directed that the trial in the said SSP 1/2

6 ba 21 of 2024.doc Sessions Case be expedited and the applicant seems to be in custody since the year 2019, the learned Sessions Judge seized with Sessions Case No.26 of 2021 is requested to make an endeavour to conclude the trial in the said Sessions Case as early as possible and preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order.
