. The appellant sufered conviction in Special Case No.45 of 1997 for the ofence under Section 5(2) read with 5(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The trial Court through its Judgment dated 13th November 1997 sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 1 year and to pay fne of Rs.2000/-.

2. As this Criminal Appeal has been pending since 1998, now the learned APP informs the Court that the appellant died in 2008.
