By this Petition, the petitioner challenges the order of the State Election Commissioner dated 3rd January, 2015 in regard to the declaration of voting centres/booths for the election of the Corporator in Ward No. 45 A of the Pune Municipal Corporation. Mr. Kulkarni, the learned counsel for the Corporation raises a preliminary objection to the maintainability of the petition. It is stated that in view of the constitutional bar, this Court may not entertain the Writ Petition, as the election programme has been declared as early as 23rd February, 2014 and the election is scheduled on 18th January, 2015.
